Acting Dean of the College of Dentistry at the Health Sciences Center at Kuwait University, Dr. Rashid Al-Azmi, stated that the college is distinguished by its clinical training stage, which gives each student his own dental unit to prepare for the real work environment after graduation. The Dental Center operates under the supervision and evaluation of members of the academic staff. It is also the only college that manages the Dental Center at Kuwait University, similar to the management of a full hospital with its nursing staff and equipment.

Dr. Al-Azmi pointed out that the College of Dentistry at Kuwait University is fully aware that clinical training is what distinguishes it in comparison with international universities, based on the testimony of external arbitrators from various countries and universities who visit the college annually at the end of each academic year to evaluate the students’ performance. This also contributes to the college's effort in obtaining academic accreditation, in addition to praise at the local level, whether from the Ministry of Health or the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations, which reflects the keenness of both the college and university on the quality of education.

For his part, the Acting Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, Consultation and Training, Dr. Jaber Akbar, confirmed that clinical training at the college is an essential stage for college students who have completed the first four years in the College of Medicine and are ready to proceed to the three years of clinical training.

Regarding the mechanism for receiving patients and visitors, Dr. Akbar explained that the college’s clinics receive both citizens and expatriates who are referred from any center in the State of Kuwait, whether within the public or private sector, by visiting the clinic building in Jabriya to schedule an examination to diagnose the condition, and then develop a treatment plan.

In turn, student Sheikha Al-AbdulKarim pointed out that dentistry is one of the sublime humanitarian specialties, explaining that a successful dentist is one who maintains the ethics of the profession. She also expressed her appreciation for dental units, which allow students to apply the intensive materials they studied in study halls and laboratories.

While her fellow colleague Maryam Safar stated that the field of dentistry is characterized by continuous development and innovation due to the presence of a scientific side, and an artistic and creative side. She also added that workers in this field deal with different cultures, nationalities, and temperaments.
