The Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Meshari Al-Harbi, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia, Sergelen Purev on Wednesday, November 11, 2023, in the office of the President of Kuwait University in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between Kuwait University and Mongolian universities within the framework of student exchange and joint programs to benefit from the latest academic developments and the most important cultural and scientific developments.
The Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Meshari Al-Harbi, welcomed the Mongolian ambassador, stressing Kuwait University’s keenness on academic cooperation with regard to receiving students to learn at Kuwait University, indicating that Kuwait University is currently receiving 2 students from the Republic of Mongolia with the aim of expanding academic cooperation in light of extending bridges of cooperation with all countries through expansion of scientific research.
Prof. Meshari Al-Harbi indicated that Kuwait University is in the process of signing a memorandum of understanding with the Mongolian side regarding student exchange with the aim of strengthening cultural, academic and research relations, and considering the possibility of expanding joint academic cooperation between the two parties, with the need to add academic and research standards that would contribute to a number of achievements that will help Kuwait University advance in scientific and international forums.
For his part, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the State of Kuwait, Sergelen Purev, expressed his great happiness with the current academic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
