Kuwait University’s team qualified for the last pre-final stage in the Minus CO2 Challenge competition, which is organized by the European Association of Geologists and Engineers (EAGE) for the year 2023, and this is the first participation of Kuwait University in the Minus CO2 Challenge.
The competition aims to allow participating students to develop plans and strategies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, in line with the global vision for a sustainable environment.
The team included students from the College of Science and the College of Engineering and Petroleum. It was supervised by Dr. Ohood Bader Al-Salem, a faculty member in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, College of Science.
The participating students are: Reem Al-Subaie and Sultan Dwaier from the College of Engineering and Petroleum, and Nowair Al-Azmi and Mutaib Al-Khreinig from the College of Science.
