Kuwait Journal of Science’s Impact Factor Increased in the Two Databases "Web of Science" and "Scopus"

The editor-in-chief of the Kuwait Journal of Science issued by the Academic Publishing Council, Prof. Shafiqa Abdulhamid Al-Awadi, announced that that the journal’s standard has improved globally. The impact factor of the Kuwait Journal of Science has increased from 0.806 in 2021 to 1.40 in 2022, according to the journal citation report from the Web of Science database, which tracks statistics from Clarivate Analytics.
Professor Al-Awadi said that the "Web of Science" database is considered one of the oldest and most reliable publishing databases globally, which was established in 1964, indicating that compared to previous years, it was noticed that the percentage of the influence factor of Kuwait Journal of Science increased. She also noted the rise of the index (H-index) of the scale of impact of scientific journal research to 17 in the Scopus database, which is considered one of the largest databases published globally, and the journal's rank became Q2 according to the C-Mago index.
It is worth noting that the Scopus database falls under the umbrella of the Elsevier system, the distinguished global publisher, which the Kuwait Journal of Science joined in August 2022 according to the contract signed with Kuwait University. Two issues have been published for the year 2023, and it is expected that the impact of posting on Elsevier will show in the coming years.
