The Cultural Committee of the Department of Philosophy at the College of Arts organized a conference on citizenship in the Arab world, in cooperation with the French Research Center of the Arabian Peninsula. The conference was held in the theater of the southern College of Arts building in Sabah Al-Salem University City.
The Acting Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Madaj, stressed that holding such conferences contributes to consolidating the concept of citizenship among Arabs and opens scientific and academic horizons that serve the community. He added that the issue of citizenship is one of the scientific topics worth researching, as it did not receive sufficient attention.
The representative of the Ambassador of France to Kuwait Claire Fleche, First Counselor at the French Embassy Fanny Foncarniere expressed her happiness at participating in this conference. She noted that this conference brings together over two days more than twelve academics from different continents.
The Head of the Philosophy Department, Dr. Muhammad Al-Wohaib, said that introducing and studying scientific concepts and academic ideas is one of the most important foundations in the university, as it serves the individual and develops society, in addition to encouraging research and careful studies. He indicated that the conference attracts a distinguished group of academic names over a period of two days to discuss one of the most important topics at the present time, which is the concept of citizenship.
