The Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Fahad Al-Dubais Al-Rashidi, received a delegation from Scopus Classifications, represented by the Senior Research Advisor of ELSEVIER, Mr. Wael Mansour, the Regional Director - Research Intelligence Solutions in the Middle East and Turkey - ELSEVIER, Mr. Diaa Medhat, and the Academic Advisor and Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ismail Ward.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Vice President for Research, Prof. Othman Al-Khader, the Director of the Academic Publication Council, Mr. Sami Al-Wahaibi, the Assistant Vice President for Research Analysis and Development, Dr. Nouria Al-Kandari, and the Assistant Vice President for External Research Cooperation and Consultations, Dr. Haneen Shafiq Al-Ghabra.
The Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Al-Rashidi, welcomed the delegation. He stressed the importance of databases that include Arabic journals due to the presence of some colleges that do not accept research material unless it is in Arabic, such as the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Arts. He added that presence of the delegation today is an opportunity for cooperation that will advance Kuwait University.
