Under the patronage of His Highness, the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah protect and preserve him, and in the presence of the representative of His Highness the Amir, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamad Abdel-Wahhab Al-Adwani, and the Director General of KFAS, Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Club and the Assistant Vice President of Kuwait University for External Research Cooperation and Consultations Dr. Haneen Shafiq Al-Ghabra, Kuwait University participated in the 13th International Exhibition of Inventions in the Middle East.
The Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamad Abdel-Wahhab Al-Adwani, extended his sincere thanks to the organizing committee of the exhibition, in addition to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for their effective contribution and to all those who contributed to the success of the event. Dr. Al-Adwani pointed out that the exhibition links inventors and investors, explaining that the patent is linked to intellectual property, and that intellectual property rights protect the rights of the inventor and investor.
The Assistant Vice President of Kuwait University for External Research Cooperation and Consultations Dr. Haneen Shafiq Al-Ghabra expressed the Research Sector’s pride in the inventors who are participating in the exhibition. She stressed that Kuwait University, represented by the Research Sector, gives full support to researchers and provides them with all facilities, especially after activating the Fast Track service, in cooperation with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, to reduce the time period for patent registration from 3 years to one year.
The Director General of KFAS, Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, expressed his happiness to attend the opening of the exhibition. He said that 200 projects are participating in the exhibition, including 19 Kuwaiti projects.
