Professor of Finance at Kuwait University Dr. Saud Al-Thaqib won the award for the best young researcher at the university, for faculties of literature and humanities. His win came from his participation in several research papers published in international refereed journals and classified according to prestigious international databases, concerned with economic and financial aspects.
Dr. Al-Thaqib said that his research topics were different and varied. He talked about the privacy of energy sectors and oil companies and their financial policies and the foundations of their global governance. In addition, the research focused on the impact of dealing with governments on the financial policies of companies listed in the US financial markets. The other research talked about the impact of political and economic events and even environmental research in the United States of America on the financial markets and global stock exchanges. The last research was about uncertainty and its relationship in the markets and lack of confidence and the effects on the economies of countries, companies, individuals and other topics.
