The Dean of Admission and Registration at Kuwait University, Dr. Ali AlMutairi, announced that the registration process for the summer course 2018/2019 will start on Tuesday 9th April and continue until Saturday 20th April 2019 according to specific dates designated for each student. The registration will be online, as the maximum credits allowed for registration are 10 credits only. Students can modify their schedules during the early registration; drop/add periods from 9:30 pm to 4:00 pm of the following day, until the end of the registration period on 20/4/2019 without prior appointments.
Students who are expected to graduate in the summer semester may consult their colleges from 21st to 23rd April 2019 during the working hours to ensure that they are registered for all graduation requirements. Students may arrange appointments for consultation through appointments screen on the student’s portal. Each student has one appointment only to consult during this period.
“Each student will have a scheduled appointment to register from 4 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.,” Dr. AlMutairi added, pointing out that the priority for registration will be for students of special needs, expected graduates and students of excellence then all remaining students i.e. students registering in more courses then students registering in less number of courses. Deanship of Admission and Registration will send SMS to each student phone number registered in the records to inform the with the registration date, emails will also be sent to students. Students can know their registration dates through the website http://registrar.ku.edu.kw/ or students' portal. http://portal.ku.edu.kw/sis.
Students who wish to withdraw from the summer semester after completing their registration must withdraw before Tuesday, June 11, 2019. Students are not allowed to withdraw from the summer semester after the semester begins unless approved by the Committee of Students Affairs at the university for students who have emergency cases that prevent them from continuing their studies at the summer semester.
Dean of Admission and Registration announced that Add/drop period for summer semester 2015/2016 will be divided between three periods; the first period from Monday 6th of May until Tuesday May 21st 2019, via internet only and according to specific dates designated for each student within the maximum permitted credits of the list of courses system.
The second period will be on Friday 24th of May Until Saturday 29th of May,2019 while The third period will be from Saturday 8th of June until Tuesday 11th of June, 2019 without prior appointments.
Noting that add/drop period will stop as of Wednesday May 22nd until Friday May 24th, 2019 to calculate students GPA and the final grades of the current second semester as well as cancelling registration of students who do not meet courses' requirements on Sunday June 2nd 2019.
No student will be allowed to amend their schedule or withdraw from any course after June 11th, 2019.
All students should revise their schedules constantly especially on Sunday evening, June 2nd, 2019. Students with cancelled courses can register only online in alternative courses until Tuesday, June 11th , 2019. Students who wish to study at the summer semester must register in alternative courses before this date. No student will be allowed to register after this date.
Dr. AlMutairi indicated that registration of non-degree students who wish to register for one or more courses during the summer semester will be from 9-11/6/2019. Students can visit Admission and Registration Hall in Shuwaikh campus during the morning period.
Students should revise their schedules constantly especially before the summer semester begins.
