Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait University held the Annual Graduation Ceremony for graduates of 48th batch for the academic year 2017/2018 at the Sports Stadium in Shuwaikh campus on Sunday 24th March 2019.
The convoy of His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah arrived at 6:30 pm. Where he was greeted with all warm welcome by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Prof. Hamed AlAzmi, Kuwait University President Prof. Hussain AlAnsari, the Secretary General Dr. Muthana AlRifae. The ceremony started with the national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. Then the Crown Prince gave his speech and said: “At the Kuwait University, I am talking to you today. I am very happy to have you celebrate the graduation of a new batch of graduates for the academic year 2017/2018. I also have the honor to convey to you my sincere greetings and sincere congratulations from His Highness the Amir, and I wish you all the best of luck. "
He added: “On this joyful day, we celebrate with a new group of university graduates who are able to take responsibility over the years of effort. They have been on the school floor diligently to learn and achieve their desired goals and the aspirations of their parents and their country”.
In turn, the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, the Supreme President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hamid Mohammed Al-Azmi said: “I am happy to welcome the Crown Prince to Kuwait University’s annual Graduation Ceremony and deliver my sincere thanks to his generous sponsorship. Believing that the best investment for the country is the development of the minds of its youth, to make the refinement of their education and armed with knowledge and immune to faith and balanced with literature”.
For his part, the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Hussein A. AlAnsari stated: “I am honored by the name of the university family, faculty, students and staff to welcome His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait. I also extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to you for your generous sponsorship for this ceremony. This comes in the interest of your Highness to encourage your children graduates and complement the care of His Highness the Amir of the country with his children who honors them every year”.
He added: “The University is proud of its community in this new batch of graduates after finishing their years of academic achievement in various faculties strengthened with science and knowledge. Since its inception, Kuwait University has opened the way for the progress of our country. It enriches knowledge, prepares human resources and cultivates them scientifically, intellectually and culturally under the supervision of distinguished professors in order to meet the needs of society and enrich it in all vital fields. The graduates you see today are the product of the University's efforts to serve the nation and seek its progress and growth”.
In his turn, the graduate Barrak Jamal Kankooni, the graduates, he said: "I am pleased to welcome you today to our university, and I thank your Highness for your graciousness, presence and patronage of our celebration today. The event we have been waiting for since the first day of our academic career to gain what we planted throughout our years of study. Aspirations and goals contribute to the uplift and development of our beloved country”.
Kankooni continued: “Today is a special day for us; it is the separation between our scientific and practical life, where we spent years of study and beautiful memories in the halls, laboratories and corridors of our beloved university. Thank you very much to our distinguished professors for their efforts, support and assistance throughout the years of study. We hope that we will apply the knowledge we have acquired in the service of our dear country and promote it in all fields. Also to give our country, that never neglected to provide all means of education and knowledge."

College of Business Administration had 486 alumni.
College of Social Science had 697 alumni.
College of Education had 1610 alumni.
College of Law had 559 alumni.
College of Sharia and Islamic Studies had 999 alumni.
College of Art had 755 alumni.
College of Life Science had 92 alumni.
