Engineers Suad Al-Shayji, Haya Al-Wanda, Asma Al-Enezi, and Shahad Al-Azmi, graduates of Civil Engineering Department at College of Engineering and Petroleum, have developed the project ‘’ DESIGN AN ADVANCED WASTEWATER TPEATMENT PLANT FOR AL-HAREER CITY’’ under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalidi.
The project was presented at the 35th Engineering Design Projects Exhibition organized by the Engineering and Alumni Training Center at Collegeof Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University.
Engineer Suad Al-Shayji clarified that the project is to build a sewage treatment plant for Hareer City, taking into consideration the environmental aspect and sustainability. Because Kuwait deserves the best, all government projects must be up to date with the latest technology.
Engineer Haya Al-Wanda stated that the method of work of the project is selected by the advanced water treatment method, which depends on the conversion and treatment of sewage so that the water is suitable for human use like drinking , irrigation and other applications. She added that this technology is applied in some developed countries such as Germany, Britain and France In addition to Canada and Japan.
Engineer Asma Al-Enezi indicated that the project is considered the first sustainable treatment plant, as it is an introduction to the application of environmental engineering and sustainability in all government state projects, stressing that It is considered as a source of income to the state as in this project they can make wastewater a source of water and fertilizer.
Engineer Shahad Al-Azmi praised the cooperation among the team, extending her gratitutde to the supervisor and engineer who supported and motivated them, and wishing that this project is realized and applied to serve our beloved country Kuwait.
