Under the patronage of Kuwait University’s President, Prof. Hussein A. AlAnsari, the College of Medicine at Kuwait University opened the annual conference of the 24th scientific poster entitled "A Radically Different Approach to Resuscitation", in the presence of the College of Medicine’s Dean, Prof. Adel K. Ayed, deans and members of the faculties of the Center for Medical Sciences, students and doctors from inside and outside Kuwait and also the participation of universities outside Kuwait, on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Medical Scientific Center Theater in Jabriya campus, accompanied by an exhibition of scientific posters from 12-14 March 2019 in the lobby of the College of Medicine, Kuwait University.
On this occasion, Prof. Adel K. Ayed, said that this conference is a forum for researchers and doctors to present their research, the participants this year are from different categories of faculty members and students, pointing out that among the participants are doctors from the Ministry of Health.
He pointed out that the number of posters is 213 posters, explaining the importance of these researches in the academy in terms of looking for the causes and methods of treatment of existing diseases and also changes that occur for any disease, which in turn seeks the researcher for diagnosis and treatment.

Prof. Ayed added that there were developments in this conference, including that the winners in the poster will be allowed to give a small lecture of 10 minutes for each winner as a kind of encouragement to the winning researcher. He pointed out that most of the research participating in the poster day from Kuwait University and the rest are of doctors from the Ministry of Health.
Prof. Ayed emphasized the efforts of the College of Medicine and the Center for Medical Sciences to modernize the curricula by devising a new method and a new approach to teaching: the introduction of artificial intelligence into medical curricula.
For her part, Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Raja AlAttiyah expressed her happiness at the continuation of the 24th Scientific Conference of 2019. Explaining that the aim of this conference is to search for knowledge by knowing the important relationships between research and education because research enhances education and specifically identifies students as an effective component of research. She thanked Professor Sami Asfar from the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University for accepting the contribution to this annual event and to the presentation of the main speech and all those who contributed to these wonderful efforts of the conference.

On his part, Prof. Haidar Behbehani, Assisting Vice President of the University for Research, said that the role of the conference is to benefit from scientific research and to provide better results. Hoping for the continuity in establishing the scientific poster day for the other faculties of medical sciences. He pointed out that there is a plan in the research sector at Kuwait University to support scientific research in the College of Medicine. Whereas scientific research is a continuous chain and from this perspective there is a continuous diversity in scientific research, especially in scientific disciplines, because there is a great need for some chronic diseases and emerging diseases that need to support scientific research in an attempt to solve these medical issues.
He pointed out that there are many scientific researches supported by the research sector at Kuwait University directly to facilitate all matters related to this matter in addition to the role of the research sector in supporting the graduate students in the College of Medicine in order to continue their scientific research.
