Tafaseel Exhibition Held by the Department of Architecture at Kuwait University

The US Ambassador to Kuwait, and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt inaugurated the fourth edition of the exhibition "Tafaseel", which was held by the American Architectural Students Association (AIAS) in the presence of the Dean of the department of Architecture Dr. Omar Kattab, with addition to the faculty members and the supporting faculty of the department. Architects, designers and students also attended the event, which took place on Wednesday evening at Al Hamra Tower.

The Dean of the department of Architecture, Omar Khattab stated that the exhibition showcased the products of the students of the department of Architecture, and how each product works from an idea or vision and transforms into an architectural project, in the form of figures, drawings and pictures expressing a state of architectural creativity that has practical specifications.”
Dr. Khattab pointed out that the exhibition lasted for three days and included 38 projects of students from the following departments: Department of Architecture, Visual Design Department and the Interior Architecture department. The theme of this year's exhibition was the ideal world, where students helped translate their ideas and designs to combine with science and innovation.
The exhibition is part of the various activities undertaken by the Faculty of Architecture in order to achieve its vision, mission and goals emanating mainly from the mission and objectives of the university. The dean pointed out that education in the Faculty of Architecture is not limited to the theoretical method, it includes practical application embodied in many stages of design.

Dr. Khattab expressed his deepest pride towards the students' efforts to provide them with interesting and distinctive projects, bearing creative fingerprints, he extended his appreciation to the American Architectural Students Association (AIAS) for organizing this exhibition. The dean also thanked the American and Egyptian embassies in the State of Kuwait for their sponsorship and for attending the exhibition.
Dr. Khattab also thanked the sponsoring companies for which included: Al-Hamra, Al-Ahmadiyah Contracting and Trading Company, Caridge, the Joint Engineering Office, ACICO Group, Gulf Consultants House, Ryada, MyU, and Middle East. He appraised them for their leading role towards supporting the educational process by supporting projects and student activities that have a positive impact on students and encourage creativity and innovation.
