College of Science and the Kuwait institute for Scientific Research launched the ninth scientific poster event under the patronage of KU President Prof. Hussain Al-Ansari. The event took place on March 14, 2018 featuring 136 posters in khaldiya's campus.
KU President stated that scientific poster day is an opportunity to enhance communication and joint work between researchers in various scientific disciplines , so as to highlight the outstanding work and see the latest research experiences in scientific journals.
These researched posters show the efficiency and quality of the output of Kuwait university, and its pursuit to meet the requirements of the labor market, indicating that it enhances the achievement of education and capacity development as well as the development of basic research skills. Prof. Al-Ansari also praised the scientific solutions presented in the participating posters, pointing out that they simulate community problems and transfer experiences from the labs to earth itself. This event supports research culture that the university seeks to establish.
Vice President professor Jassem Al-Kandiri stated that the research in the posters hold scientific emphasis on the scientific merit of the faculty members and researchers in Kuwait at the scientific collage. He also stated: "We live in the era of the economy and knowledge."
Professor Abdulhadi Bu-alian, Dean of College of science at Kuwait University, expressed his happiness towards hosting this annual celebration. He pointed out that the number of scientific posters participating this year was high which indicates that these posters hold a significant importance to scientific research. Prof. Bu-Alian expressed his wish that this influences more moral interest in scientific research at the university.
