The Construction Program at Kuwait University primarily delivered components of the Business Package (6A) and (6B) in the city of Sabah Al-Salem University, which included (13) multi-storey parking spaces, in the presence of the Secretary General of Kuwait University .Dr Muthanna Al-Rifai, and members of the Receiving Committee from Kuwait University, represented by Assistant Secretary General for Facilities Affair Dr. Adam Al-Mulla , Director of Construction and Maintenance Department Hameeda Al-Khalidi, Director of Financial Affairs Department Nasser Sayed Hashim, Director of Legal Affairs Heba Yousef Al Abbad, Purchasing Department Director Osama Jassim Shehab, Director of General Services Department Sanabel Mohammed Al-Duwaisan, and a Representative of KU President Office Eng. Lamees Al-Khurafie.
KU Secretary General indicated that supporting Sabah Al-Salem University is one of the top priorities of Kuwait University's higher administration, with its financial and human resources, as well as helping to solve all the obstacles facing this huge edifice so that it can be launched in time and run as quickly as possible.
The data presented during the visit indicated that the university is looking forward to the final receipt of (6) faculties from the campus by the end of 2018. The rest of the faculties, buildings and infrastructure components will be received during 2019, while we hope that the tender of the Medical campus will be offered ,worked in and completed in the year 2023 as planned .
Business Package 6A and 6B are part of the infrastructure projects of Sabah Al-Salem University. The Business Package 6A includes 11 emergency shelters with a capacity of 300 people per shelter, equivalent to 3,300 people, and 9 parking spaces. Whereas business Package 6B Package includes 12 emergency shelters, 9 of which has a capacity of 300 persons per shelter while 3 shelters has a capacity of 150 persons, 3150 people in total, as well as 4multi-storey parking buildings with a total capacity of 1843 vehicles. The project includes other components such as maintenance buildings, police station and health and safety building.
