A Voluntary Trip to Build Humanitarian Projects in "Tanzania" with Students of College of Architecture

College of Architecture at Kuwait University organized a humanitarian scientific trip to the Republic of Tanzania in cooperation with the International Islamic Charitable Organization , Mercy International and the Embassy of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Tanzania in order to reinforce the effective cooperation between the students of Kuwait University and the various bodies. The visit aimed to design a project in the poor village of Kilimanjaro in Dar es Salaam, capital of the republic of Tanzania.
The members of the delegation asserted that it was a great honor to given this opportunity by Kuwait university to assist in helping poor people, stressing that volunteering is a provides a healthy outlet for young energies in a scientific and a civilized way.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Faculty member at College of Architecture, emphasized that the main objective of the visit was based on the desire of the International Islamic Charitable Organization and Mercy international to design a vocational institute and a residential complex for students in the village.
Dr. Yousif Al-Haroun indicated that the trip to the republic of Tanzania is a scientific and practical addition to the entire delegation as it included collecting data about the project site and conducting field research on the project site and its surroundings as well as conducting interviews with the people of the village of Makaronga and learn about their culture and visit their traditional homes.
