Faculty of Science Welcomed a Visiting Delegation from University of Strathclyde - UK

Dean of Faculty of Science at Kuwait University, Prof. Abdulhadi Issa Bu-Alian, welcomed the visiting delegation from University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom, represented by Professor Robin Belvin, President of the Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Nigel Langford, Assistant Dean, Dr. Benny Hadril from the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry and Dr. Ibrahim Khadra Assistant Professor and Head of Orbito Group.
The visit aimed at cooperating with the Faculty of Science at Kuwait University to consider the possibility of offering Joint PhD programs as well as research cooperation at the post-bachelor level as well as cooperation in the introduction of the primary summer course in forensic science.
Dr. Nigel Langford explained that the University of Strathclyde , as a center for study and research, has distinguished disciplines in forensic science, biology, chemistry and criminal sciences at post-bachelor and undergraduate levels.
The delegation also looked forward to reach a cooperation and understanding regarding student exchange programs at the bachelor level, such as the system 3 + 1, which allows students to study 3 years at KU and then complete their last year of study at University of Strathclyde and be registered in equivalent similar courses to the fourth year courses at Strathclyde University.
At the end, the two sides exchanged shields, as the visiting delegation concluded his tour accompanied by Prof. Dr. Saad Muzayed, Director of the Research Projects Unit at Faculty of Science, by visiting the laboratories of the Research Projects Unit and the Scientific Center.
