Dean of College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Khulaifi, honored the students who won the second place in the scientific research competition at the level of the GCC countries at the second scientific and cultural forum for students in universities and educational institutions of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council.

The winners from the Petroleum Engineering Department were; Nour Al-Otaibi, Shahad Al-Sa'adoun and Maram Al-Zafairi. They participated with their graduation project, which resulted in the production of An oil well ,that has been discontinued since 2013, in a way that has never been implemented in Kuwait, which is the chemical method, where the well produced 300 barrels per day. All project costs were covered during the first four hours of production and the project's profits amounted to approximately KD 450 thousand.
