
As part of its commitment to promoting religious awareness and reinforcing Islamic values among youth, the Public Authority for Youth, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, represented by the Student Union Section, organized an awareness lecture titled “Set It Free”, delivered by Dr. Mariam Al-Owaish. The event took place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the College of Engineering and Petroleum.
The lecture highlighted the significance of the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Dr. Al-Owaish emphasized the immense spiritual rewards and blessings associated with these sacred days. She urged students to seize this precious opportunity through worship, devotion, and acts of righteousness, noting the unique and immeasurable spiritual value they hold.
Dr. Al-Owaish also spoke about the virtue of Laylat al-Qadr and its exalted status in Islam, stressing the importance of seeking it out with increased devotion, as the reward of good deeds on this night surpasses that of a thousand months. She described it as an exceptional opportunity for every believer striving to draw closer to Allah.
In addition, the lecture included practical spiritual guidance, encouraging attendees to avoid negligence and distractions, and instead remain committed to prayer, night worship, Quran recitation, prayer, and charity, so that the last ten days of Ramadan are spent in a manner that yields the intended spiritual transformation.
