The World Radiology Day celebration was held at the Medical Sciences Center on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Jabriya, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs. The event was supervised by Dr. Ebtihal Al-Qattan, a faculty member in the Department of Radiology, and Ms. Amna Al-Dhafiri, the cultural supervisor from the Cultural Activities Department. The event was attended by Dr. Elham Al-Dosari, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, as a representative of the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, Prof. Mohamed Nazar, and Dr. Layla Ali Ghadanfar, Head of the Scientific Department. During the Celebration, the participants in the event were honored.
The celebration included scientific and cultural presentations by students aimed at raising community awareness of the importance of radiology and its various applications in the medical field. The activities included demonstrations, educational boards, and interactive experiments reflecting the development of radiology technologies and their significance in diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, various activities were held at the exhibition, such as artistic and cultural competitions and drawing.
In her speech, Dr. Elham Al-Dosari praised the vital role of the Department of Radiology in preparing qualified medical professionals capable of facing the challenges of medical advancements. She also thanked the attendees and organizers for their efforts in making the event a success.
