The Administration of Security and Safety at Kuwait University

The Administration of Security and Safety, in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, organized the activities of Traffic Awareness Campaign Week under the patronage and attendance of Acting Assistant Secretary General for Facility Affairs, Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, and the Director of the Administration of Security and Safety, Yousef Al-Khamis. The event took place in the lobby of the College of Engineering and Petroleum at the Sabah Al-Salem University City, with the presence of the Director of Traffic Awareness, Colonel Fahad Ebrahim Al-Eissa, and the Assistant Director of Traffic Awareness at the General Traffic Department, Major Abdullah Bouhassan.

At the outset, Yousef Al-Khamis, Director of the Administration of Security and Safety at Kuwait University, stated that for the third consecutive year, Kuwait University, represented by the Administration of Security and Safety, is launching the traffic awareness campaign at the beginning of the academic year. This initiative aims to educate students about violations that occur on campus, as well as the measures and practices they should implement to avoid penalties or infractions. He explained that during this campaign, there will be presentations in lectures to showcase some images and statistics regarding the violations recorded on campus. He noted that statistics for the 2023-2024 academic year show a reduction in the number of accidents to 26 incidents throughout the year, emphasizing that the main goal of this campaign is to decrease the rate of accidents.

For his part, Acting Assistant Secretary General for Facility Affairs Mohammed Al-Sulaiman expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Traffic Sector, for these awareness campaigns aimed at ensuring the safety of all our students. He noted that there is ongoing collaboration between Kuwait University and the Ministry of Interior to achieve partnership between the entities. He concluded his speech by advising our students to adhere to traffic rules for the safety of everyone.
