Kuwait University signed a cooperation agreement with Kuwait Society for Drug Awareness and Prevention "Ghiras", in the presence of Acting Secretary General and Official Spokesperson of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, Secretary General of Kuwait Society for Drug Awareness and Prevention "Ghiras", Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, Acting Assistant Secretary General for Facilities Management Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Al-Suleiman, Director of Public Relations and Media Department, Ms. Anoud Al-Rashidi, and Director of the Security and Safety Department, Mr. Yousef Al-Khamis, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. 
In this regard, Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University and official Spokesperson for the university, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, indicated that signing the cooperation agreement with Kuwait Society for Drug Awareness and Prevention "Ghiras" represents part of Kuwait University's objectives and its strategy to activate the role of community communication and drive the wheel of development with governmental and private state institutions. He also stressed that this cooperation achieves benefits for Kuwaiti Society, especially towards scourge of drugs, and thus the university opens horizons for cooperation in protecting youth and members of society. He also emphasized that Kuwait University continues to adopt an approach of cooperation with state institution to achieve their prominent and effective role in society.
On his part, Secretary General of Kuwait Society for Drug Awareness and Prevention "Ghiras", Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, stated that Kuwait University is a distinguished academic institution with a distinguished history that keeps pace with the requirements of the modern era, as it currently receives 45,000 male and female students. He also pointed that Kuwait Society for Drug Awareness and Prevention "Ghiras" considers Kuwait University one of the most prominent platforms to cooperate with to promote values and create a protective wall against all negative behavior that could destroy society.
