46 Researchers from Kuwait University Among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide
In asserting its advancement in the field of research, and its role in obtaining scientific achievements among international forums, Kuwait University has attained a major achievement in the field of scientific research, which is the inclusion of 46 distinguished researchers from faculty members of Kuwait University, according to the list issued by Stanford University in the United States of America, among the "Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide" who are most cited academically in various disciplines for the year 2024. The list included 66 scientists from the State of Kuwait, including 46 researchers from faculty members at Kuwait University, representing 70% of the participating research and educational institutions from the State of Kuwait, which reflects Kuwait University's commitment to improving the quality of scientific research, and the continuous development of its research and academic programs. This, in turn, enhances its presence locally and globally due to its significant impact on the global academic scene.
It is worth noting that Kuwait University, over the past years, has dedicated great efforts through its administrators, to provide specialized programs and unique initiatives within the university's strategic plan; through which it supports researchers to increase international participation in order to achieve academic excellence according to the aspired vision, and to improve Kuwait University's ranking within the global competitive spectrum, with the aim to achieve the vision of His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah protect him and grant him peace, on the necessity of sponsoring scientific research, and striving to create a scientific environment based on the latest means of scientific research which contributes to developing the capabilities of the nation in all scientific fields.
