Reinforcing the principle of community partnership as well as local and global presence, Kuwait University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Scientific Center. The signing ceremony was attended by Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi; General Manager of the Scientific Center, Eng. Msaed Al-Yaseen; Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jasem Al-Hamdan; Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Prof. Nawaf Al-Hajeri; Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Suleili; Assistant Secretary General for Facilities Affairs, Mr. Mohammed Al-Suleiman; Deputy General Manager of the Scientific Center, Mr. Mohammed Al-Sanousi; and Deputy General Manager for Corporate Support at the Scientific Center, Mr. Nasser Al-Helali. The event took place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in the University Council Hall at Sabah Al-Salem University City.

In this regard, Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, stated that this agreement represents a mutual desire to enhance productive and constructive collaboration between Kuwait University and The Scientific Center in scientific, research, and educational fields. He emphasized that both parties are integral parts of the scientific system and expressed his satisfaction with this collaboration, which is expected to achieve shared goals and foster scientific and knowledge exchange.

General Manager of the Scientific Center, Eng Msaed Al-Yaseen, extended his gratitude to Kuwait University for hosting this event. He expressed his eagerness to implement the terms of the agreement and its strategic plans, especially with the new expansion, which aims to provide educational opportunities for Kuwait University students through various plans, programs, and workshops. He affirmed that the Scientific Center is a vital facility dedicated to promoting science, technology, and scientific culture to help build a sustainable environment, preserve wildlife, protect the waters of the Arabian Gulf, and educate the community.

Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Jasem Al-Hamdan, mentioned that the Scientific Center is one of the most important centers in Kuwait, providing opportunities for Kuwait University students to engage in scientific research and volunteer work even post graduation. He expressed his satisfaction with this collaboration, which is expected to generate significant interest among students and faculty members at the university.
