Acting President of Kuwait University receives His Excellency the Chargé d'Affaires

of the Republic of Serbia to Discuss the Latest Academic Developments

Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Saeed, received His Excellency Filip Katic, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Serbia to Kuwait, on the morning of Monday, October 7, 2024, in the office of the President of Kuwait University in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The meeting was attended by the Acting Secretary-General of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, and the Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Facilities Management, Mr. Mohammed Al-Sulaiman. The visit aimed to strengthen the bilateral relations between Kuwait University and Serbian universities and to discuss the latest academic developments within the framework of student and academic exchange.
At the outset, the Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Osama Al-Saeed, welcomed the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Serbia, emphasizing Kuwait University's commitment to cultural exchange among various universities in accordance with the regulations and laws in place. He noted that Kuwait University currently hosts a number of Serbian students and expressed hopes for an increase in their numbers in the coming years to expand the frameworks of academic cooperation between both parties.
For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Serbia to Kuwait, Filip Katic, expressed his great happiness with the academic and intellectual cooperation between the two countries, which is part of the strong relations they share. He highlighted the importance of enriching the research aspect, noting that the goal of student exchange is to enhance the academic and research endeavors between Kuwait University and Serbian universities. He expressed hope for more specialized scholarships at Kuwait University and further fruitful academic cooperation between Kuwait University and educational institutions in Serbia, wishing success for Serbian students under the leadership of this distinguished academic institution.
