His Excellency Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Al-Jalal: The Political Leadership is Keen on Providing all Possible Resources to Educational Institutions for to Ensure the Success of the New Acad

During his meeting with the President of Kuwait University, the General Director of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, and the deans of admissions and student affairs, he emphasized his commitment to developing the educational environment and supporting students to achieve academic excellence.

He called for improving the quality of education and enhancing the ranking of higher education institutions to produce national cadres that serve the country.

Education is the cornerstone of the future and the foundation for building an advanced society to face challenges; success is our collective responsibility.

Minister Al-Jalal urged students to avoid conflicts and sectarian or tribal tensions that lead to division, weakness, and the fragmentation of national unity.

He affirmed his determination to enforce the law and stated that there would be no leniency in punishing those who incite disputes among students.

He encouraged students to focus on programs and ideas that serve the common good, contribute to environmental development, and present a constructive syndical message.

He stressed the importance of monitoring the electoral process and activating oversight tools, regulations, and laws.

- Our educational institutions should be a model in promoting national unity.

We must all, as individuals and institutions, preserve this unified fabric and set an example for future generations.

General Director of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Dr. Al-Fajam:

The Authority is ready to welcome students starting next week.

Preparation of academic schedules has been completed, with more than 95% of graduating students, students expected to graduate, and continuing students registered.

All schedules for both new and continuing trainees across the eight institutes are prepared.

A meeting will be held between the Deanship of Student Affairs and Student Lists to encourage adherence to the student honor code and to avoid inciting sectarian and tribal tensions.

The student conduct code will be enforced against any behavior that incites discord among the student body.

A media campaign will be launched to promote student unity and the spirit of friendly competition among students.

Coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Information, and public benefit associations to ensure that elections proceed transparently and reflect the spirit of friendly competition among students.

Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University:

Full commitment to implementing the laws and regulations governing student elections.

External individuals are prohibited from participating in the elections at Kuwait University.

All students are required to represent Kuwaiti national unity and reject all forms of partisanship and extremism that incite discord.

 

In preparation for the new academic year across various educational institutions, His Excellency Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nader Al-Jalal, received Acting President of Kuwait University Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, and the deans of admissions and student affairs from both institutions, at his office in the Ministry of Higher Education.

 

He emphasized the importance of removing obstacles for students and increasing the availability of academic sections to match the capacity, allowing everyone to register before the start of the academic year. He also stressed the need to utilize all resources, prepare educational facilities, and create a learning environment that meets the needs of students for the 2024/2025 academic year. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of fostering innovation and creativity in the educational process, encouraging students to engage in critical thinking and scientific research.

 

He noted that these efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of education and improving the ranking of higher education institutions. The beginning of the academic year represents a significant milestone in the journey of knowledge and is a new opportunity to strengthen the national vision by equipping future generations with knowledge to produce national cadres that will serve the country in the future. This effort aligns with the political leadership’s directives and commitment to providing all necessary resources for educational institutions to ensure a successful start to the 2024/2025 academic year. He affirmed his dedication to developing the educational environment and providing all possible means to support students and enable them to achieve the highest levels of academic excellence.

 

As the student electoral season approaches in various educational institutions, Al-Jalal expressed his great confidence in the awareness and maturity of students during this critical phase of university life. He described the elections as an opportunity for expressing opinions and actively participating in shaping the future of student activities, representing a living example of democracy and community involvement. He urged students to focus on programs and ideas that serve everyone's interests and contribute to the development of the university environment, while avoiding sectarian and tribal conflicts that only lead to division, weakness, and the fragmentation of national unity. Such conflicts detract from the primary mission of serving students and presenting a student-centered message. He expressed confidence that the student body would demonstrate its commitment to national values and democratic spirit, contributing to the success of this student event and reflecting the positive image of our beloved country.

 

His Excellency Prof. Nader Al-Jalal emphasized the importance of educational institutions in promoting national unity, stating that it is our collective responsibility, as individuals and institutions, to preserve this unified fabric and set an example for future generations in peaceful coexistence and positive interaction. He affirmed his determination to enforce the law, stating there would be no leniency in punishing those who incite discord among students. The minister also urged the deans of student affairs to closely monitor the electoral process and activate oversight tools, regulations, and laws that might obstruct collective student activities. He welcomed any proposals, legislation, or laws aimed at developing and organizing student work, urging the student body to prioritize the interests of Kuwait, the educational institution, and the students above all else.

 

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Nader Al-Jalal stressed the importance of cooperation among all parties involved in the educational process to achieve our shared goals. He affirmed that higher education is the cornerstone of the future and the foundation for building an advanced society capable of facing future challenges. "Success in this endeavor is our collective responsibility. Therefore, we will continue to exert every effort to support our students and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their academic and professional lives," he concluded, emphasizing the need to prepare a knowledgeable and cultured generation capable of addressing future challenges.

 

Public Authority for Applied Education and Training

Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, presented the Authority's preparations for the upcoming academic year from an academic perspective. He indicated that the preparation of academic schedules for the colleges and institutes has been completed, with more than 95% of graduating students, students expected to graduate, and continuing students registered. For new students, fixed schedules have been established. He also noted that all training schedules for both new and continuing trainees across the Authority’s eight institutes are ready.
