Kuwait University Holds Ceremony for the Distinguished Teaching Award for the Academic Year 2023/2024, as well as Inventors who Obtained Patents in Nanofluids

In recognition of its role in driving creativity, innovation, and excellence, Kuwait University hosted a ceremony to honor faculty members who received the Distinguished Teaching Award for the academic year 2023/2024 and inventors who obtained a patent for the "Dual Hydrogen and Suspension Production System Using Effervescent Tablets." The event was attended by Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, along with Acting Vice President for Research, Dr. Nasser Al-Tannak, and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Fadhli. Also present were Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation, Dr. Noriah Al-Kandari, and Assistant Vice President for Research Finance and Implementation, Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra. The ceremony took place on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the University Council Meeting Hall in Sabah Al-Salem University City, in appreciation of their efforts, excellence, and contributions to enhancing Kuwait University's reputation, advancing the educational process, and enriching the research aspect.


The honorees included the winners of the Distinguished Teaching Award for the academic year 2022/2023: Dr. Shareefa Ali Zumon from the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the College of Business Administration, and Dr. Ma'ali Mohammed Jasim Al-Abdulhadi from the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the College of Education.


In addition to honoring the winners of the Distinguished Teaching Award for the academic year 2023/2024: Prof. Ahmed Mohammed Ashkanani from the Department of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems, Dr. Fahad Bader Abdullah Al-Mudaires from the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Abdulmohsen Ahmed Al-Tabtabae from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Ali Reda Sharaf from the Philosophy Department at the College of Arts, Dr. Muneera Khalid Faisal Al-Ajmi from the Department of Educational Administration, Dr. Abdulaziz Kordi Al-Shammari from the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the College of Education, Dr. Dalal Suleiman Ahmed and Dr. Abrar Adnan Abul from the Department of Management and Marketing at the College of Business Administration, and Dr. Nora Khalid Shaibi from the Department of Political Science at the College of Social Sciences. The award was received on her behalf by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Research at the College of Social Sciences, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hadban.


Furthermore, inventors who obtained a patent for the "Dual Hydrogen and Suspension Production System Using Effervescent Tablets " were honored; Dr. Nawaf Faisal Al-Juwayhel, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr. Nasser Mustafa Al-Sayegh, a research scientist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research; Dr. Hussain Yaqoub Bahzad, a faculty member at the General Authority for Applied Education and Training; and Eng. Ali Mustafa Al-Sayegh, a PhD student sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development.
