The College of Dentistry at Kuwait University organized an event for the late Dr. Jassim Mohammed Hussein Bin Isa, who is considered the first Kuwaiti dentist. The event was attended by the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Rashed Al-Azemi, the former and founding Dean, Dr. Jawad Behbahani, the Administrative Director, Jawad Al-Ghareeb, and representatives of the late Dr. Jassim Bin Isa's family including his son Sharif Bin Isa and his grandson Jassim Sharif Bin Isa. Also present were Ghassan Homsy, CEO of Al-Sayafi Medical and Pharmaceutical Company, as well as members of the academic and administrative bodies.
The event witnessed the honoring of the top three graduates for the academic year 2023/2024: Dr. Maryam Safar, Dr. Hessa Al-Zamanan, and Dr. Zeina Al-Ibrahim. Additionally, the College recognized outstanding staff members: Anwar Bosakhar, Basma Al-Shalabi, Khuloud Busulaib, Abduljalil Safar, Fai Al-Mejadi, Layali Walid, and Eng. Leila Haider.
On this occasion, Acting Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Rashed Al-Azemi, stated that this incentive award is an extension of the late pioneer of Kuwaiti dentists' personality and ethics, may he rest in peace. It reflects his encouragement and support for dentists, technicians, and administrators, an experience cherished by all who interacted with him.
Dr. Al-Azemi praised the gesture of loyalty shown by the family of the late individual and Al-Sayafi Medical and Pharmaceutical Company for immortalizing the memory of this generous figure through the incentive award named after him for the third consecutive year. He explained that the "777 Award" is held annually in July, where seven employees are honored, in addition to the top three students from the seventh year who graduated last month. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the sponsors represented by Al-Sayafi Company, the Public Relations Department, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
