Under the patronage of Her Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, and in the presence of Acting President of Kuwait University Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, Kuwait University commenced the 46th Engineering Design Exhibition at the College of Engineering and Petroleum in Sabah Al-Salem University City, on Tuesday evening, July 2nd, 2024, supported by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, with a large attendance including leaders at Kuwait  University, heads of scientific departments, faculty and students. 
On this occasion, her Excellence the Minister of Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan expressed her pride in Kuwait University graduates who have contributed greatly in the development of their country, pointing that the Engineering Design Exhibition is considered an important beacon for the culture of creativity and innovation, strengthening the engineering sector and motivating professionals to accomplish further developmental achievements, explaining that the support provided by government institutions in this exhibition is indicative of the interest in developing the engineering sector.
In his turn, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum Prof. Khaled Al-Hazzaa stated that today the college is honoring students in appreciation for their successful integration into the work force. He also explained that it is everyone's duty towards their country to constantly achieve excellence and work hard in appreciation for the country's continuous support.
The ceremony also held the honoring of the winners of the First Place award for the Best Design Project at the College of Engineering and Petroleum from various departments. The winners were honored by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences as a culmination of the efforts dedicated, and the sponsors were also honored at the ceremony.
