The College of Engineering and Petroleum is Organizing the 46th Engineering Design Exhibition with the Participation of 279 Engineers

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Noura Mohammad Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Minister of Municipality Affairs, the Engineering and Training Alumni Center of the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University has announced the organization of the 46th Engineering Design Exhibition, supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. The exhibition will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of July 2024, from 10 AM to 10 PM at the North Building of the College of Engineering and Petroleum. 


In this regard, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Prof. Khaled Al-Hazza, mentioned that after five years of study and hard work, a constellation of engineers has graduated, despite the pressures that come with studying, the goal was to produce successful engineers. He highlighted that the exhibition would feature 69 engineering projects presented by 279 engineers who completed their studies at the college after five years of dedication and effort.


Prof. Al-Hazza also pointed out that the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences Award is presented to the best project in each engineering discipline. The criteria for the award focus on the project's design aspects, its concept, execution methods, and the ability to implement it using engineering tools and presentation methods. This award recognizes excellence across various dimensions of engineering projects.

Prof. Al-Hazza urged that projects like these should extend into practical applications, serving as a starting point to open new and broad horizons for these engineers in the future. He emphasized the importance of engaging and competing in the job market, contributing to driving development and enhancing Kuwait's Vision 2035 plan. This approach ensures that these projects not only showcase academic achievements but also contribute tangibly to societal and economic advancements.


Finally, Prof. Al-Hazza expressed his gratitude to the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences for their continuous support in this exhibition. He also extended his thanks to the strategic sponsors for their interest in the 46th Engineering Design Exhibition.
