The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Administration of Social Welfare – Department of Disability, organized a trip to visit the largest exhibition of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dedicated to people with disabilities. The purpose of the trip was to explore the latest research, studies, modern technologies, solutions, and specialized services provided for people with disabilities.
The delegation was led by Wael Al-Obaid, the Director of the Administration of Social Welfare. It included Eitemad Al-Kandari, Acting Director of the Administration of E-Learning, Aseel Al-Shaiji, Acting Supervisor of Social Supervision, Sheikha Al-Qanaei, Acting Head of the Department of Disability, and social researcher Nawal Al-Mutairi.
During the visit, they reviewed the services provided to people with disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and exchanged experiences regarding students with disabilities between Kuwait University and Saudi universities. They also explored the latest assistive devices and technologies that contribute to developing solutions for individuals with disabilities, supporting their independence and participation in various tasks and activities in life domains such as education, employment, and community engagement.
The visit included attending dialogue sessions and exchanging experiences with participating parties at the exhibition. Members of the delegation also had the opportunity to test some devices during the visit
