Dr. Nazar: The participation in collaborative research projects between different medical specialties is essential to overcome the challenges we face in the medical sectors in the country.
Under the patronage of the Acting President of Kuwait University Prof. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, The College of Allied Health Sciences organized the seventeenth Scientific Poster Day, which included 91 scientific posters in various specializations.
The Acting Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences Dr. Muhammad Shaaban Nazar welcomed the attendees of the seventeenth Scientific Poster Conference of the College of Allied Health Sciences, stating that this event highlights the hard work and scientific spirit of the students, praising the dedication and support of faculty members.
Furthermore, Dr. Nazar stated that while celebrating student achievements today, it is important to encourage all students to view the conference as a foundation for their professional journey as future researchers and lifelong learners, as the field of medical sciences is constantly evolving, therefore continued pursuit of knowledge is crucial for a student to become a successful specialist in medical care.
He added that cooperation and a multidisciplinary approach are essential to overcome the complex challenges found in the medical sectors in the country. It is therefore important to participate in collaborative research projects between different medical specialties, and to welcome diverse knowledge and perspectives that enrich medical sciences.
The Acting Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Rana Al-Awadhi stated that the college has been keen on hosting this celebration for 17 years because of its great importance to everyone, especially students, which resembles the fruitful efforts of the graduates in each academic year. She also noted although there are challenges faced by the organizers every year, they are successfully overturned into achievements that have resulted today by converting all paper posters into electronic digital boards, which goes to show the importance of keeping pace with development.
Faculty member at the College of Nursing, affiliated with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Prof. Fatima Hassan Al-Kandari expressed her pleasure in participating in the seventeenth Scientific Poster Day, which reflects distinguished organization and scientific research that serves the work environment in its various fields, emphasizing the students’ use of technology in the visual presentation of their research projects.
